The payment gateways (Stripe and Paypal) used by our payments system do not refund gateway fees when refunds are processed. This means that for your original full payment to be refunded, we would be in the negative.
For this reason, refunds are provided excluding any gateway fees that were collected (usually a few dollars).
Example:
You purchase Kikote for $39.99, we receive $37.99 after gateway fees are processed (this value is not fixed).
When providing a refund, we would refund you $37.99 not $39.99, because if we refunded you $39.99, we would be at a loss of $2 with your purchase.
Our refund rate is extremely low, most users who purchase Kikote enjoy it. Refund requests usually come in from customers who purchase the plugin without fully knowing if it meets their needs. All free and premium features of the plugin will continue to work. However, you will no longer receive updates to the plugin and support will no longer be available.
